Thank you for your interest in this fair. Unfortunately the event has now closed for 2010.
Here at Sheffield we have a large number of students looking for a career where they can make a real difference to people's lives, to communities, and to the environment. So, we're bringing them altogether in an online fair.
The Careers That Make A Difference Fair will:
- provide an online space where students and graduates can meet 'virtually' with organisations that make a real difference to people and the environment.
- showcase a wide range of career opportunities: full-time, part-time, casual and voluntary.
- provide you with a platform; bringing your organisation to the attention of large numbers of students and graduates.
- run online from Monday 18th October - Friday 12th November 2010.
The Careers That Make A Difference Fair will NOT:
- be demanding on your time.
We have designed our online fair to ensure that the amount of time involved is kept to a minimum. You may want to promote your organisation and the opportunities that you have available but we know that you don't have the time to sit in front of a pc all day. Once your profile is set up, you're in control. We'll send you updates and students will send you application forms but we won't bombard you, you even have a turn off button! - require you to leave your place of work (unless you want to?).
Our online fair means you promote yourself online...no travelling expenses and time out of the office, just carry on with your normal schedule and let the fair work for you. However, if you would like to meet some of the eager individuals applying for your roles then we'd be delighted to welcome you on campus. - drain your budget.
Participation in the fair costs just £95 plus VAT for the whole 4 week period, and better still, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations can participate for free.
The Fair is open to all students at The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. In addition, we expect the Fair to be of interest to students studying at other UK universities and organisations taking part may therefore find that students from outside of Sheffield will also contact you.
