Health, Safety & SecurityPlease ensure that all staff and sub-contractors familiarise themselves with these regulations: Fire Procedures It is the policy of the organisers to endeavour to seek the co-operation of all concerned in order to achieve the highest standards, in all aspects, of health and safety. The organisers along with each respective venue, have within the scope of their own laid down Policies, a responsibility to ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times, which includes ensuring that provision is made whereby persons other than the organisers or venue employees are reminded of their responsibilities whilst working at the exhibition. As an Exhibitor, Contractor or Agent you have a duty under The Health and Safety At Work, Etc, Act 1974 to ensure that all personnel, contracted by you are aware that they have a responsibility, so far as is reasonably practicable, for the health, safety and welfare of all employees, and that any plant or systems of work which may be used are, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health. This includes that all employees are provided with information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure not only their own health and safety but also that of others working or attending the vicinity. Any violations or concerns regarding any of the above points should be reported to the organisers via your stand helper or the organisers desk.
Fire Procedures
First AidA first aider will be on-site for the duration of the Fair. If you require first aid please go to the organisers desk. InsuranceWhilst we take every precaution to protect your property during the event we are not responsible for any loss or damage and we recommend that you effect appropriate insurance cover. You are also responsible for insuring against any legal liability incurred in respect of injury or damage to property belonging to third parties. In addition to this you should protect your expenditure against abandonment and cancellation or curtailment of the Fair due to reasons beyond our control. SecurityThe University does not accept any responsibility or liability in respect of loss or damage to any property or equipment brought on to the premises by or on behalf of exhibitors, their servants, agents or invitees. Please ensure your handbags, briefcases, coats and all valuable items are stored out of sight at all times. Exhibitors should report any unattended packages to the organisers or venue staff. |
