Promotion & Publicity

Spring into Jobs Fair will be promoted as a must for all serious seekers of graduate positions commencing in 2010.

Our Target Audience:

Final year students from the two Sheffield universities will make up the largest proportion of visitors but you can also expect to meet with students from other higher education institutions in Yorkshire and recent graduates.  In addition to full-time positions the fair will also be promoted to students in earlier years of study who are looking for summer internship opportunities.

Publicity Channels

The following publicity channels ensure that we are able to effectively promote this Fair to our target audiences:

The Careers Services of the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University will publicise the Fair to students and graduates of their universities, through...

  • Emails to all final year and undergraduate students
  • Specific departmental emails highlighting employers that are targeting final year and undergraduate students per department
  • Circulation of posters and flyers on both campuses 
  • Distribution of posters, flyers and email text to every university in the region
  • Promotion of the Fair across university discussion lists
  • Promotion of the Fair across departmental plasma screens
  • Promotion of the Fair across social networking sites, e.g. facebook
  • Advertisements in the Students Union Newspapers
  • Announcements in the Student Union What's On Guides
  • Promotion through the Alumni Association targeting recent graduates of the universities
  • Publicity banners on campus

Our sponsors will also play a part in ensuring the successful promotion of the Fair: sponsors currently to be confirmed.
